Verify a card
Scan the QR code on a card, or drop the original file Perf Sentinel produced. The check runs in your browser: the card and any file you drop never leave it. Only the optional domain check below contacts an outside service, named on its button.
Seeing the card on your phone? A long press on the image, or a screenshot opened in your photos app, often opens the QR code. You can also open the verification link if the post gives it.
Limits of this check
Level 1 only proves the figures did not change since they were signed: anyone can create a signing key. Level 2 ties the key to the domain that publishes it.
The signing date is written by whoever holds the key. When a domain withdraws a key for a leak, this page no longer verifies any card that key signed, whatever its date, honest ones included. A key only replaced keeps verifying the cards dated inside its period, a date a thief could also write.
LinkedIn and most social networks remove file metadata when you post. Dropping a file only works with the original Perf Sentinel produced. For a card seen online, scan its QR code.
A card posted on a social network is a new image: only its QR code can still be checked, and it proves the figures, not the image around them. Compare the signed figures this page shows with what you see. An original file is checked whole: any change to it shows.
